São Jorge’s curvy, mountain landscape
It takes me a bit to get used to the hairpin turns, the almost Mario Kart-like feeling of zooming right into basalt rock walls or toppling down cliffside. Luckily, the idyllic scenery of São Jorge, a mix of water, mountains and country, helps relax me; and once I do, I really enjoy my foreign surroundings.
